Galway Bay fm newsroom - Familes involved in a review of maternity services at Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe are to shortly receive reports on their cases.
In a statement, the Saolta University Hospital Group says each family will be provided with a copy of a systems analysis review of their care, which has formed part of the overall review process.
Since April of last year, the independent external review has examined 18 cases relating to events which took place at the hospital between 2008 and November 2014.
The families involved will also be afforded the opportunity to meet with review chair Professor James Walker and his team to discuss their individual cases.
Once that process is completed, Saolta says families will be provided with a copy of the review.
It adds that it also intends to publish the review.
