Galway Bay fm newsroom - Takings at the bookmakers and Tote figures dropped by a combined total of over €407,000 at day two of Galway Racing Festival.
A crowd of over 15 thousand racing enthusiasts braved the wet and windy weather conditions for the second day of the racing festival in Ballybrit yesterday.
Bookmakers took in almost €855,000, a decrease of €226,000 when compared to the same day last year.
Tote takings came in at €751,000, compared to €932,000 for day two in 2017.
Riven Light won Tuesday's Colm Quinn BMW Mile Handicap feature race for the second year running.
