Galway Bay fm newsroom - An Bord Pleanála is assessing an application for a major residential development in Mervue.
Crown Square Developments Limited is seeking planning permission from the higher planning authority for 288 apartments at the site of the former Crown Control facility.
The apartments would be in several blocks, ranging in height from 5 storeys to 8 storeys.
This is Phase 2 of the multi-million euro Crown Control site development, as planning permission has already been granted for office blocks and a hotel.
A decision on the residential proposal is due from An Bord Pleanála in November.
