Galway Bay fm newsroom - There are plans for a new astro turf pitch in New Inn.
New Inn Community Council is seeking planning permission for the facility with flood lighting at Castlebin South.
It would also include a ballwall, walkway, picnic area and bocce playing ground.
Bocce is a ballgame similar to bowls.
