Efforts are underway to identify a human skull found on the wall of a housing estate in Rahoon and to establish how it came to be there
It was discovered earlier this month, on Monday the 14th of October in the Rósán Glas housing estate, and the Gardaí were informed straight away.
The National Museum has also been informed and an investigation is ongoing - assisted by the Office of the State Pathologist and a forensic anthropologist.
Speaking to Galway Talks, City Council Heritage Officer, Dr. Jim Higgins says it's possible the skull came from the nearby Rahoon graveyard
