Campaigners in East Galway have met with the Taoiseach to discuss concerns around planned wind turbines.
The Community and Environment Protection Alliance - which has members from 15 counties - claims wind turbines are being planned without proper regulations in place.
The current rules date back to 2006 and it's argued the latest turbines being advanced are far bigger than those that would've been built almost 20 years ago.
New planning guidelines are being drafted, and are expected to be in place by the end of the year.
Deputy Sean Canney arranged this week's meeting - and he says the Taoiseach heard local concerns, and will be engaging with them again in the future.
