€630 thousand collected at UHG carparks last year

Galway Bay fm newsroom - 630 thousand euro was collected at UHG carparks last year.

According to freedom of information figures, the HSE received over 5.2 million euro in income from its public hospital car parks nationwide last year.

The highest figure of nearly 1.3 million euro was collected in Cork University Hospital.

University Hospital Galway was the next highest, at 630 thousand euro.

Sinn Féin's health spokesperson, David Cullinane, says such car park charges should be abolished.
