Galway Bay fm newsroom - €217 million in European Development funding has been announced for the West.

Th European Commission has classified the Northern and Western Region as a 'lagging industrial region' and one that is 'In Transition'.
The six-year investment programme will build on previous funding provided for the region.

Some of the money will go toward building the capacity at ATU Galway.
