Galway Bay fm newsroom - Almost €1m in funding has been allocated for enterprise centres across Galway.
The awards will go to seven not-for-profit organisations across a wide range of sectors.
Four of those received the maximum allowance of €150 thousand from a national pot worth over €8m.
In total, over €900 thousand was allocated to enterprise centres across the county under Enterprise Ireland's Enterprise Centres Fund.
Action Tuam Company, Galway Technology Centre, Galway City Innovation District and S.C.C.U.L Enterprises in Ballybane all received €150 thousand.
A further €100 thousand was provided for Innovations Hubs at GMIT and the Business Innovation Centre at NUI Galway.
Bia Innovator Campus in Athenry was allocated €54 thousand, while €50 thousand will go to Ballinasloe Enterprise Centre.
A smaller award of €10 thousand was granted to Mobile Clipboard Ltd, the only for-profit organisation in Galway to receive funding.
