€1.2m in additional funding for roads across Galway

Galway Bay fm newsroom - Over €1 million in additional funding has been awarded for roads across Galway.

The funding of €1.27 million has been allocated by Transport Infrastructure Ireland under the pavement capital maintenance programme.

It'll help resurface sections of national roads across the county which are in a poor state of repair.

Locations to benefit include the N66 at Castledaly and Gort and the N63 at Brownsgrove, Dunmore, Loughgeorge, as well as Ballygar.

Works will also be carried out on the N59 at Moycullen, Ballinakill and Clifden.
