Galway Bay fm newsroom - Galway's COVID 19 14 day incidence rate has dropped slightly to 314.3, the sixth highest nationwide.
This compares to the period between 12th to 25th October when the 14 day rate had climbed to 382.5 per 100 thousand.
In the last two weeks, 811 cases were recorded.
Last evening saw the lowest number of cases for Galway in some time with seven new cases of the virus recorded.
According to the latest figures, the national 14 day rate is now 268.7 with Cavan recording the highest at 645.9 and Leitrim the lowest at 118.6.
Professor of Immunology at Maynooth University, Paul Moynagh, says the figures are going in the right direction.
