Galway Bay fm newsroom - A bathing advisory at Ballyloughane beach in the city has been lifted.
The 'do not swim' advisory was issued last Thursday at the amenity due to increased levels of bacteria in the water.
It followed a period of heavy rainfall.
Galway City Council says test results have since been received which show samples meet the requirements for excellent water quality.
