Galway Bay fm newsroom - Motorists on the N17 are advised to expect disruption from this evening as Tuam bypass is set to close.
The bypass will be closed for maintenance between the junctions with the N83 at either end with diversions via Milltown and Galway Road.
Both northbound and southbound will be closed from 8 this evening until 6am tomorrow.
The southbound section will be closed tomorrow evening (28th) from 8pm until 6am.
During this time traffic will be diverted through Tuam via Milltown and Galway Road.
Galway county council says the works are being carried out at night to minimise disruption.
The works are being carried out by CRJV on behalf of Transport Infrastructure Ireland.
