British politician Dianne Abbott to give key note address at city event

Galway Bay fm newsroom - British Politician Dianne Abbott is to give a key note address in the city this weekend.

The UK Labour Party Shadow Home Secretary will speak at the Tom Johnson Summer School being held at NUI Galway.

The summer school is organised by Labour Youth and will provide a platform to debate topical issues and to hear from expert panellists.

Topics such as the threat of climate change, breaking the chains of poverty and challenging barriers to healthcare will be discussed over the course of the weekend.

The school will take place from Friday until Sunday at NUI Galway.
