Government must immediately provide emergency funding to allow the gritting of roads and paths in council estates.
That's according to Fianna Fail Councillor Alan Cheevers, as the country braces itself for cold weather conditions.
He says there's currently only funding to carry out gritting of the main roads.
And that's something Councillor Cheevers feels isn't good enough.
