Galway Bay fm newsroom - County officials say the development of a new local area plan for Oughterard is delayed due to a lack of resources.
The matter has been raised at Connemara Municipal District level.
Councillors were advised that the delay is due to the availability of resources and the timing.
It's hoped the plan will be progressed towards the end of the year.
