Galway Bay fm newsroom - Gardaí are following a definite line of enquiry following an assault on a man in the city centre last weekend.
The 54 year old man was attacked at Mainguard Street in the early hours of last Saturday morning, April 22nd and was taken to University Hospital Galway by ambulance for treatment.
Gardaí are reviewing CCTV in the area but anyone who has information about the assault is urged to contact Galway garda station.
Sergeant Peadar Ryan says it's important that these kind of crimes are stamped out.
