Decision expected soon on plan to double height of telecommunications monopole in Loughrea

Galway Bay FM Newsroom - County planners are due to issue a decision shortly on plans to double the height of telecommunications infrastructure in Loughrea.

Eircom Limited has submitted an application to replace a 10 metre timber pole with a 21 metre telecommunications monopole.

This would be installed together with antennas, dishes and associated telecommunications equipment.

County planners are due to make a decision next week.
