The Dáil has heard that the N84 Headford Road is a "nightmare death trap" in desperate need of investment.
Deputy Sean Canney raised a wide range of projects and sectors that have been impacted by lack of funding despite the Government's record surplus.
They included the struggles of Pieta House in Tuam and a lack of public transport in the West.
Deputy Canney said we're just not getting balanced regional investment from the Government.
