Galway Bay fm newsroom - Unemployment across Galway has dropped again following a slight increase in January
There are currently 14 thousand and 90 people out of work across the city and county.
The biggest drop in unemployment last month was in the city, where 88 less people signed on the Live Register in February.
The city's jobless figure now stands at just over 7,000.
The next biggest decrease was in Clifden, where eight people came off the register last month, leaving the town's unemployment figure at 881.
In Gort, 2 less people signed on during February, leaving Gort's jobless figure at just under one thousand and forty.
Slight increases in unemployment were seen in some county districts last month.
The biggest increase was in Loughrea, where an extra 27 people signed on the Live Register.
Loughrea's unemployment figure now stands at just over 1,400.
Ballinasloe saw an increase of 14 last month, leaving just over 1,670 people unemployed in the town and its surrounds.
The smallest increase was seen in Tuam, where 12 extra people signed on the Live Register in February.
Tuam's jobless figure currently stands at just over 2,700.
Overall, there are 14,090 people unemployed across the city and county - a drop of 12% since last year.
