COVID-19 having significant impact on staffing levels at UHG

Galway Bay fm newsroom - The prevalence of COVID-19 at UHG is causing significant and unsustainable staffing issues.

That's according to the INMO, which is calling for mandatory mask wearing to return to ease pressure on hospitals nationwide.

It comes as the Irish Association of Emergency Medicine says the Covid situation in hospitals is intolerable and highly dangerous.

The emergency powers introduced two years ago to help fight Covid-19 expire at midnight.

Speaking to Galway Talks, Anne Burke of the INMO outlined how staffing is being impacted at UHG.
