County planners due to make decision on Portumna Shannon Oaks Hotel refurb this month

Galway Bay fm newsroom - County planners are due to make a decision later this month on a proposal to refurbish the Shannon Oaks Hotel in Portumna.

The hotel was extensively damaged by a fire in 2016 and is now owned by the Comer Group.

The project is led by Dalakhani Unlimited Company.

It would see the provision of a single storey restaurant extension and the alteration and reconstruction of the front facade including landscaping.

County planners are due to make a decision late this month.
