Galway Bay fm newsroom - The County Council is being urged to appoint a permanent chief executive officer position.
It comes as the council hasn't had a permanent CEO since 2014.
Acting Chief Executive Kevin Kelly has held the role in the interim period.
Galway West Fianna Fail TD Eamon Ó Cuív says the appointment should now proceed without delay after the amalgamation plan has been put on hold.
