Galway Bay fm newsroom - Galway County Council is set to carry-out essential hedge trimming work along the N84.
The County Council has confirmed that it's finalising the procurement of a private contractor and is awaiting their final documentation and planned works schedule.
The Local Authority says it intends to have the contractor on the ground within the next week and that the safety works will take 2-3 days to complete.
It comes as Councillor Hoade raised the issue at a recent meeting of the Tuam Municipal District.
The Fianna Fáil Councillor argues the trimming work is crucial as high verges are blocking the view of drivers as they try to join the N84 from minor roads.
She says motorists can expects delays while the work is being carried-out but it will make the junctions much safer for all motorists, pedestrians and cyclists - to hear more, tune in to Galway Bay fm news on the hour
