Galway Bay fm newsroom - The County Council is aiming to provide accommodation for over 100 Traveller families and individuals by the end of next year.
The council's amended Traveller Accommodation Plan was discussed at County Hall this week.
It reveals that there are just over 2600 Travellers living across the county.
80 of these families are home-owners.

The council estimates that by the end of this year, 255 Traveller households will be on the local authority's list for Traveller accommodation.
