Galway Bay fm newsroom - Galway County Council has identified 25 properties in Kinvara to receive flood-barrier protection.
They're outlined in a comprehensive report submitted to the Office of Public Works by the local authority.
Under the plan, the 25 properties which include 15 residential and 10 commercial will be provided with a bespoke system of flood barrier protection.
All of the properties are located around Kinvara Quay and are affected by tidal flooding.
It's estimated the project will cost just under 50-thousand euro.
