Galway Bay fm newsroom - Galway County Council spent none of its available funding on Traveller Housing last year.
The Department of Housing increased the budget for building and upgrading Traveller-specific accommodation to 9 million euro last year.
According to today's Irish Times, many local authorities didn't invest any funding in housing schemes or draw down the full amount available.
The county council spent none of its 625 thousand euro fund along with South Dublin County Council which also didn't draw down its 1 million euro fund.
