County Council accused of turning ‘blind eye’ to dereliction across the county

Galway County Council has been accused of turning a ‘blind eye’ to dereliction across the county.

Sinn Féin councillor Louis O’Hara says it’s a ‘blight’ on communities and wants to see derelict site levees enforced.

The Athenry/Oranmore councillor adds there are only three sites on the Derelict Building Register in Galway - which doesn't reflect the situation on the ground

Councillor O'Hara says derelict sites should be used to provide much needed facilities in communities.
