Galway Bay fm newsroom - The CEO of Galway County Council is being formally requested to retain the airstrip at Galway Airport in Carnmore.
Athenry Oranmore area councillor Jim Cuddy says if the site is developed or the airstrip removed, there is no possibility of a suitable site being found for another airstrip so close to the city ever again.
