Just under six percent of houses in Galway are vacant despite an overall fall in the national vacancy rate
Geodirectory says the number of vacant residential properties across the country stands at 81 thousand 449 - 0.1 per cent lower than it was in 2022.
The highest concentration of derelict properties was located on the west coast of the country, with Mayo registering 13.5% of national total, followed by Donegal at 11.8% and Galway at 8.8%.
