Councillors question report stating 78% Loughrea roads in very good condition

galway Bay fm newsroom – Councillors have been left doubting a report which states that 78 percent of roads across Loughrea are in very good condition.

Local roads are surveyed every two years, and the report is used for doing road assessments and for budgeting at the end of each year.

Several councillors were critical of the analysis, which was presented to them at a recent Loughrea MD meeting.

Councillor, Gerry Finnerty, says the report does not fully align with the reality in many areas:
