Local councillors are placing a focus on finding a site for a proposed public swimming pool for Loughrea.
Interest in having a publicly owned facility in the town has been ongoing for decades, and councillors are keen to make progress in the coming years.
A motion put forward by Independent Ireland councillor Declan Kelly is asking the council to prioritise finding a site suitable for the development.
All Loughrea Gort/Kinvara councillors supported the motion, and Councillor Kelly spoke to Sarah Slevin about it:
