Galway Bay fm newsroom - A City West Councillor has concerns about a proposal to develop over 300 apartments adjacent to the Gateway Retail Park in Knocknacarra
Cllr John Connolly says the development would radically change the local environment should it recieve a grant of planning.
The application has been lodged by Glenveagh Developments, a construction company situated along the East Coast.
The proposal appears to develop five separate apartment blocks in lands between Gaelscoil Mhic Amhlaigh and the roundabout at the Western Distributor Road.
Fianna Fáil Councillor, John Connolly is arguing that the plans are out of proportion with properties in the surrounding residential area.
