Councillor demands Justice Minister allocate more Gardaí to rural areas

Galway Bay fm newsroom - A county councillor has written to the Justice Minister to demand more Gardaí for rural areas to tackle the recent rise in burglaries.

Councillor Mary Hoade says the recent case of a 99 year old woman whose home was targetted in Headford is particularly sickening.

She argues rural areas cannot continue on like this, as many people are now living in fear and without a quality of life.
