Councillor criticises ongoing closure of Loughrea Day Centre

From Galway Bay FM newsroom- A local councillor is expressing frustration over long-running delays in reopening Loughrea Day Centre.

Councillor Geraldine Donohue says it's a vital service for Loughrea and the surrounding area that's now been closed for two years.

She says in April, the HSE indicated that a phased re-opening was planned for this month, starting with three days per week.

However, Councillor Donohue says it's been delayed again - and HIQA has only authorised one day per week.
