Galway Bay fm newsroom - Galway county council has invited five shortlisted companies to tender for the Moycullen bypass project.
The project will cost in the region of €50 million with the business case agreed by the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform and the Department of Transport.
It will see the construction of new carriageway from the townland of Drimcong, north-west of the village, to the townland of Clydagh, south-east of the village.
Work is expected to start on the project early in the New Year with a 22 month timeline for construction.
