A crew from Galway City Council is assessing damage to a footpath and street infrastructure after a suspected collision with a truck this morning. (12/8)

It's understood a large lorry got stuck at Middle Street, causing traffic delays and damage to civic property.

The city council has sent a crew to assess the damage and make repairs to the footpath.

Local business owner Paul O'Brien says it's a difficult street for large trucks to maneouvre through.
