Cost of rebuilding homes in Galway back to pre-crash levels

Galway Bay fm newsroom - The cost of rebuilding homes in Galway is now back to pre-crash levels.

That's according to a report by the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland which states the cost of rebuilding a three bed semi-detached house in Galway is 160 thousand euro.

Galway is the third most expensive county to rebuild according to the SCSI, behind Dublin on 207 thousand euro and Cork on 165 thousand.

Nationally rebuilding a home costs 6 percent more this year compared to last year.

While in Galway, Cork and Limerick it now costs on average 8 percent more than 12 months ago.
