Concerns Silverstrand could be lost if erosion project is not accelerated

Concerns have been raised that Silverstrand could be lost if action is not taken to tackle erosion.

City council CEO Brendan McGrath has been called on to meet the appropriate officer in the Housing, Planning and Local Government Department.

It's in a bid to establish reasons for the delay in granting a foreshore licence for coastal protection works at Salin to Silverstrand.
