Concerns over repeated instances of illegal dumping at Fána Glas in Ballybane

Galway Bay fm newsroom - Concerns have been raised over repeated instances of illegal dumping in the Fána Glas area of Ballybane.

It's after local authority staff carried out an intensive clean up of a dumping hotspot in the area in recent weeks with 12 loads of household waste removed.

Local activist Donal Lynch told Keith Finnegan on Galway Talks that over the weekend, rubbish has once again been dumped in the area.

He says residents are very upset by the ongoing issue which is also presenting a health and safety risk.
