A group of concerned residents are to hold a public meeting in the coming weeks, on plans for the future development of Portumna Forest Park.
It follows a public consultation meeting in the town a fortnight ago, on a new 10 year strategy and masterplan.
Coillte and Bórd Fáilte say the park has "transformative" potential for far greater tourism and recreational use - but investment is needed.
But some locals say the deadline for submissions on the masterplan - which is this coming Wednesday - is far too short.
