Galway Bay fm newsroom - A Galway East TD has raised concerns that some third level students could be facing homelessness this term due to a lack of available housing.
Fianna Fail Spokesperson on Children, Deputy Anne Rabbitte, says the first few weeks of September are the hardest to find accommodation because the tourist season is still active.
A report from the Department of Housing shows 44 people in the west, aged between 18-24, accessed local authority emergency accommodation in June.
