Galway Bay fm newsroom - Concerns are being raised over the level of young people across Galway becoming "money mules" for criminals.

The practice sees young people allow their bank accounts to be used to transfer and hold the proceeds of crime.
Councillor Alan Cheevers raised the issue at this week's meeting of the Galway City Joint Policing Committee.

Superintendent Damian Flanagan said Gardaí are very aware of the issue - and warned young people face very serious consequences if caught.
Councillor Cheevers feels it's becoming a serious problem.
