Concern about safety in Connemara due to overgrown hedges

Galway Bay fm newsroom - Overgrown bushes in Connemara are posing a serious risk to drivers and pedestrians according to a local councillor.

Fianna Fail Councillor Gerry King says the combination of warm weather and recent showery downpours has caused rapid growth of roadside bushes.

The 2016 Heritage Bill allows for emergency trimming to take place where warning signs for traffic and pedestrians are affected by overgrowth.
