Galway Bay fm newsroom - A commercial building at Liosban Industrial Estate has been preserved this morning following a large fire overnight.

The blaze broke out shortly after 8pm at the DJM House area.
Fire crews from the city, Loughrea, Tuam and Athenry were drafted to the scene shortly after 8pm.

They worked to control the blaze until they stood down at 2.30am.
The building which has been smoke damaged is preserved this morning and will be examined by Garda forensic teams later.
It's understood the incident is not being treated as suspicious.
Residents who were evacuated from the nearby Cúirt na hAbhiann apartments have since been permitted to return to their accommodation.
Nobody was injured in the incident.
