Clifden RNLI assist three walkers stranded on Omey Island

Clifden RNLI’s volunteer crew has assisted three people who were stranded on Omey Island

The crew were tasked by the Irish Coast Guard at 1.45pm yesterday, following a report that three people were cut off by the tide.

Clifden’s Atlantic 85 lifeboat was launched, and the crew reported no difficulties locating and rescuing the walkers.

All three people were found to be well and did not require medical assistance.
