Galway Bay fm newsroom - A public meeting entitled 'Brexit - the left view' will take place in the city next week (21/03).
The event will focus on the implications and opportunities for Ireland when the UK leaves the European Union.
It comes as Britain's Queen has formally approved the Article 50 Bill today which means the prime minister can formally begin the process of the UK leaving the EU.
The Galway meeting gets underway on Tuesday at 8pm in Richardson's, Eyre Square.

It will be chaired by former independent county councillor Seosamh Ó Cuaig from Connemara.
