Galway Bay fm newsroom - The President of Croatia will visit Galway tomorrow.
President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic is travelling to the city as part of a three-day State visit.
The President began her Irish visit in Áras an Uachtaráin yesterday where she planted a tree, and later was guest of honour at a State dinner.
Today, her itinerary will include a civic reception at the Mansion House in Dublin as well as a trip to Government buildings.
Her arrival on Irish soil marked a return for the State visit to Croatia by President Michael D Higgins in 2013.
President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic will travel to Galway tomorrow morning for day three of her trip.
Her itinerary begins with a civic reception with Mayor Noel Larkin and councillors at City Hall.
This will be followed by a tour of the Galway 2020 Community Hub - President Grabar-Kitarovic is a native of Rijeka in Croatia, which will jointly hold the title of European Capital of Culture with Galway in 2020.
Later, there will be a meet and greet with students at NUI Galway.
The schedule will conclude with a local food demonstration to mark the European Region of Gastronomy 2018.
OPW Minister and Galway East TD Sean Canney will represent the government during President Grabar-Kitarovic's visit to the city.
