Galway Bay fm newsroom - A city councillor says there needs to be more public buy in if new methods of drug dealing are to be clamped down on by Gardaí.
Councillor Frank Fahy told Keith Finnegan on Galway Talks he is aware of reports that drugs are being delivered using drone and satellite technology in parts of the city.
He told the programme that while the Galway Drugs Unit does excellent work with regular significant seizures, he feels the public needs to be more observant and report suspicious behavior to Gardaí in confidence.
The Fine Gael councillor says he has had passengers snort cocaine in his taxi in plain sight and argues recreational users are fueling the drug economy.....
