Galway Bay fm newsroom - A Galway City councillor is calling for a new playground to be installed at Castle Park in Ballybane.
Councillor Alan Cheevers says while many families around the east side of the city are benefiting from community investment, children in Castle Park are being forgotten about when it comes to playgrounds and sporting infrastructure.
The Fianna Fail councillor is calling on the council to begin drawing up a plan for the play facilities to be located on one of the green areas in Castle Park.
